Making a Scrapbook/Junk Journal

For years I have wanted to create my own scrapbook/junk journal. For the last few months, however, I have finally been able to sit down and work on it. Scrapbooking is a big hobby of mine and it’s something I’ve been doing for 20 years. Saving odd papers here and there on all of my travels just so I can glue it in one of my several journals. Like many who junk journal, it’s a creative way to express yourself.

My mom, on the other hand, loves the idea of scrapbooking but doesn’t have the patience for it. She doesn’t have the time to sit down and work on a page or save random papers to add to her book. In making this scrapbook “template” I thought of people like my mom who want to jump into junk journaling, but either don’t have a drawer full of supplies or don’t know how to start.

What you will find in the journal

In this journal, you will find dotted and lined pages intermixed with vintage artwork, floral illustrations, and watercolor paintings that I have hand-painted myself.

The goal for this journal is to be your own creative self without needing a box full of papers, washi tapes, and stickers. I’ve even included some cut-outs at the back of the book that you can also add to your journal.

This is a journal for you to express yourself however you wish. It’s perfect for beginners especially those who have always wanted to start junk journaling.
